FROM THE WORK · NH DOCK REPAIR

Ice-shifted composite dock

Posts leaning after winter. Decking lifted, framing repaired, and a finished walkway back over the water.

Look beneath the boards

The walkway’s composite decking was still in place, but its posts were leaning. Opening the deck gave access to the framing and connections underneath.

Framing first

With the boards lifted, the work could reach the stringers, joists and cross-members. The sequence follows the framing back toward shore, including new stringers set to a builder’s level.

The walkway, rebuilt

Composite decking went back over the repaired frame. The finished walkway is shown alongside the earlier damage and the work beneath the surface.
